Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Closetify (the "App," "Service," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the App.

2. Eligibility & Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use Closetify.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we may suspend or terminate the account and delete associated information in accordance with applicable law.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed.

Usernames must not impersonate another person, company, brand, organization, or public figure and may not be offensive, misleading, deceptive, or otherwise violate these Terms.

We reserve the right to reclaim, modify, remove, or reassign usernames that violate these Terms, infringe intellectual property rights, impersonate others, or remain inactive for extended periods.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (see Section 9).

4. Your Content (Closet Items, Photos, Boards & Posts)

Ownership: You retain ownership of the photos, items, boards, and posts you upload ("Your Content").

License to us: By uploading Your Content, you grant Closetify a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute it solely to operate and improve the Service (e.g., showing your closet to you, displaying your boards/posts to others per your privacy settings, generating Smart Buy recommendations).

Your responsibility: You confirm you have the rights to anything you upload (e.g., you're not posting someone else's copyrighted photos without permission) and that it doesn't violate any law or third party's rights.

Removal: You can delete Your Content at any time; we will remove it from active display and from storage within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

5. AI Features (Image Classification & Smart Buy Analysis)

Closetify uses automated tools (including third-party AI models) to classify clothing items from your photos (category, color, style, etc.) and to analyze potential purchases ("Smart Buy").

AI is not perfect: Classifications, outfit suggestions, "buy/maybe/skip" verdicts, and similar AI-generated content are provided for convenience and entertainment purposes only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or simply wrong. You should use your own judgment before relying on them — including before making any purchase.

We may use automated detection (e.g., to flag inappropriate content such as faces or sensitive imagery) as part of upload moderation. These systems can produce false positives or negatives, and we may ask you to review or resubmit content as a result.

Closetify is not a substitute for professional styling, financial, purchasing, legal, or other professional advice.

Closetify does not guarantee the accuracy, suitability, quality, value, availability, or future satisfaction of any recommended item.

Unless explicitly disclosed, Closetify does not receive compensation in exchange for recommending specific products. Recommendations are generated using information available to the Service and are intended solely as informational suggestions.

6. Social Features (Boards, Posts, Likes, Saves, Comments)

Closetify lets you create boards, publish posts, and interact with other users' content (likes, saves, comments, etc.).

You agree to treat other users respectfully.

Prohibited behavior includes (but isn't limited to):

We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these standards, with or without notice, at our discretion.

Public content (boards, posts, profile information, and other content you choose to share) may be visible to other users and, depending on your settings, the broader public.

We reserve the right to remove content that we believe negatively affects the safety, integrity, operation, or community experience of the Service, even if the content is not specifically prohibited by these Terms.

If you believe content on Closetify infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, please contact us with sufficient information to investigate the claim. We may remove allegedly infringing content and take appropriate action, including content removal, account restrictions, or account termination.

You are solely responsible for content you publish through the Service, including boards, outfit boards, moodboards, comments, profile information, and other user-generated content.

7. Smart Buy & Third-Party Links

Smart Buy may reference, link to, or pull information from third-party websites, retailers, and product listings (via URLs you submit or screenshots you upload).

We don't control, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of third-party content, pricing, availability, or the quality of products sold by third parties.

Any purchase you make through a third-party link is a transaction between you and that third party — Closetify is not a party to it and bears no responsibility for it.

8. Subscriptions & Billing

Certain features may require a paid subscription ("Premium" or similar tiers).

Billing: Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly or annually) at the rate displayed at the time of purchase, through the App Store, Google Play, or another payment processor we use.

Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access until that time.

Refunds: Refunds are handled according to the policies of the platform you purchased through (Apple App Store, Google Play, etc.), except where required otherwise by law.

Price changes: We may change subscription prices; we'll provide notice before any change takes effect for existing subscribers.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the App.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or for extended inactivity, with notice where reasonably possible.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal information through the App's account settings or other methods made available by Closetify.

Certain information may be retained where required by law, necessary for security purposes, dispute resolution, enforcement of these Terms, or other legitimate business purposes.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately; certain provisions of these Terms (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

10. Intellectual Property

The Closetify name, logo, app design, and underlying software are owned by us (or our licensors) and protected by intellectual property laws.

These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, software, or other intellectual property.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLOSETIFY AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — INCLUDING RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED RECOMMENDATIONS OR THIRD-PARTY PURCHASES MADE THROUGH SMART BUY.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we'll notify you (e.g., through an in-app notice or email) before they take effect.

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
