Email address and/or phone number, username, password (handled securely via our authentication provider), and profile details you choose to add (such as a bio or profile photo).
b. Content You Upload
- Photos of clothing items, outfits, boards, and posts you create.
- Captions, tags, names, brands, categories, colors, and other details you (or our AI) attach to items.
c. Information Generated Through Use of the Service
- AI-generated classifications of your clothing items (category, color, style, fit, season, etc.).
- Results from automated image-moderation checks (e.g., detecting whether an uploaded photo appears to contain a person/face, run to screen for inappropriate content).
- Smart Buy data: product URLs or screenshots you submit, AI-extracted product details (name, brand, price, images), and the resulting analysis (match scores, outfit suggestions, recommendations).
- Social activity: boards you create, posts you publish, likes, saves, comments, and follows.
d. Technical & Usage Information

- General usage analytics (e.g., which features you use and how often)
Approximate location derived from IP address, if applicable to fraud prevention or analytics.
e. Payment Information (For Subscribers)
Subscription and billing details are processed by the App Store, Google Play, or our payment processor. We do not directly store full payment card numbers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate the Service — store and display your closet, boards, and posts; run searches; sync your account across devices.
- Power AI features — classify your clothing items, detect potential moderation issues in uploaded photos, and generate Smart Buy analyses and outfit recommendations.
- Run social features — show your public boards/posts to other users, support likes, saves, comments, and display counts and activity.
- Improve the Service — understand usage patterns, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- Communicate with you — send account-related notices, updates to these policies, and (if you opt in) product updates or marketing.
- Maintain safety and security — detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Process payments — manage subscriptions and billing for premium features.
4. AI Processing of Your Photos & Data
Closetify relies on AI and machine-learning tools to deliver core features. Specifically:
Clothing Classification
When you upload an item, image data is analyzed (using on-device ML and/or cloud-based AI models, including third-party AI and machine-learning providers) to suggest a name, category, color, style, and other attributes.
Moderation Screening
Uploaded photos may be scanned by automated tools to flag content that appears to contain faces, people, or other sensitive elements, helping us enforce our content policies. These systems may occasionally produce false positives or false negatives.
Smart Buy Analysis
When you submit a product link or screenshot, relevant image and text data may be analyzed to extract product details and compare them against your closet to generate recommendations.
Where image or product data is sent to third-party AI and machine-learning providers, it is transmitted solely for the purpose of generating the requested service. We do not authorize these providers to use your data to train general-purpose models outside the scope of providing the requested service, to the extent we can control such use through our agreements with them.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell your personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

Content you choose to make public (boards, posts, profile information, likes/saves visible according to your settings) may be shared with other users of the Service.
With Service Providers
Companies that help us operate the Service, including:
- Supabase (authentication, database, and cloud storage)
- Third-party AI and machine-learning providers (clothing classification, Smart Buy analysis, and related AI-powered features)
- Analytics providers
- Crash-reporting providers
- Hosting providers
- Payment processors
For Legal Reasons
If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Closetify, our users, or others.
Business Transfers
If Closetify is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice where required by law.
6. Data Storage & Retention
Your photos and content are stored using Supabase's cloud infrastructure.
We retain your information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service.
When you delete an item, post, board, or your account, we remove associated content from active storage within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or operational purposes.

You can view and edit most of your information directly within the app.

You may delete individual items, boards, posts, or your account entirely.

You can control whether your content is public or private according to available features.

You may opt out of marketing communications through account settings or unsubscribe links.

Depending on your location (including the EU, UK, or California), you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your information.

8. Children's Privacy
Closetify is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Users between 13 and 18 should have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Service.
If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take steps to remove it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure providers, to protect your information.
While we strive to protect your information, no internet-based service can guarantee complete security, and you use the Service at your own risk.
